Wonderful interview from Duffy’s Hope fundraising basketball event. David was obviously just off the basketball court with his mom Lupe and had some encouraging words of hope and inspiration for youth. David even quoted from his own song The Other Side of Down ~ “keep putting one foot in front of the other”. Great words of advice. And his mom’s words, children “must dream and have goals”, resonate. Nice interview.

Update from Janel – SOF Fan Dinner

Some changes from the info posted yesterday:

“Rooms have changed and the rental is $150 total and that’s not including any food ordered. I’m still doing this, but I will need donations from fans to help me pay for the reservations. Also, there will be a specific menu to order from (I’ll post it after I meet with the manager) unless we have under 35 people then they can handle individual orders. Please be on the look out for our group menu sometime next week. I’ll need pre-orders (pay for at the restaurant) from those attending”.

Finale night on Idol tonight

Still unreal that it was three years ago that David Archuleta performed his last three songs that I felt were some of his best performances of the season. The boxing theme was o-so-lame, but the Davids survived it. Here is my favourite of the nite ~ In This Moment ~ which still gives me goosebumps. For a 17-year old, the composure, the intensity, the passion was unparalleled. Well done Mr. Archuleta. So well done.

David Archuleta Music Scholarship – $5 Friday!

We are EXCITED to announce that

is BACK!!

In May 2010, with the support of David’s fans, we were honored to be able to give 2 students a $2500 scholarship each to further their music education dream (you can read about the recipients on our website!). This year, with David’s blessing we will be honored and excited once again to offer Murray High School student/s the opportunity to continue to study music in higher education through The David Archuleta Music Scholarship.

We all know how much David loves and appreciates his High School. He has done so much to give back to his community as well as worldwide. Here is an opportunity to show David how much we appreciate HIM and do what we can to GIVE BACK as well! What a wonderful way to honor David and to help others!!
